Fat Ass Format:

Plan to come out on Thanksgiving morning to meet at VG at 7a.m. for a run like no other that I am awere of. Will be holding the 4th Annual Polar Bear Trail Run and Dips. The reason I say "Dips" is because over the course of the 2 hour run on the trails at Wissahickon, there will be several (at least 3) creek crossing/swims! Yes, you heard it correctly! This run is very informal (fun run) and the pace will be on the slower side but with hills. Unlike the tradition type event where participants jump in and get out, here, you have the opportunity to swim and get to do it more than once! If that isn't a party, I don't know what is.

I have no idea how many people will turn out but I am expecting several members of The Animal Camp, Wanderers, and "Wandering Animals!" I do remember a conversation with Jim Millar several weeks back and he told me he was in this year so Jim Millar will be there! Maybe Dan Gordon can even bring the Eurovan down to VG and take pics! Who is in??

"Animal"

Beset by knee and foot problems, I have been on the shelf for almost a year now. But my knee no longer hurts and the pain in my left foot is gradually subsiding. Its time to come off the injured reserve list. And this polar dip sounds like the perfect way to return to action. If it turns out that while running, my knee or foot starts hurting again, no problem. A quick dip in the icy Wissahickon should be a perfect substitute for an ice pack and a lot handier too. Josh, sign me up!!!

I'm in. With my knee and ankle problems this year, the idea of taking an ice bath in the middle of a run is really appealing.

You boys are wacky. I love it. Call me a probably, subject only to unknown Turkey Day plans... might have to host dinner at my place so I don't have to be in Reading that morning.

Josh, Thanks to you and the rest of the Animal Camp for including me in this years run/swim. It was a blast.

Hey Josh, any chance of getting some photographs from the Turkey dip? Sorry for the no show, but I had to prep for Thanksgiving dinner. But I would love to see some action shots to find out what I was missing.
