The location of the popular Thursday night run will be temporarily be moved to the parking lot of the Main Street Theater complex in Manayunk starting this Thursday January 19. 

The temporary move is necessitated by the early closing hours at the Valley Green Inn during the winter months.  The Thursday night runs will return to Valley Green Inn in mid-March.  Here is the map of the meeting spot >

Report by Phil Ranly - For 7 years, I have talked about the 4-corners run. The run traverses all corners of the Wissahickon park.

For trail masters Bob Reynolds, Louis Secreto, and Chris Moore, this run is a staple of their training regime. For other trail warriors, such as Noah Shusternman, Pete Michener, and Helen Cheung, the 4 corner feat has long been accomplished.

The Wissahickon Wanderers produced a lot of bright spots in an otherwise sad day at the Philadelphia Marathon on September 20. Wanderers excelled out in the field and at the water stop at the 18/22 mile mark.

On November 6, Mea, Floyd, Michael and Rachel completed the New York City Marathon. Below is their report:

The race was great!  The ferry ride over was spectacular.  We met and talked with lots of people from all over the world.  We enjoyed beautiful scenery and cheering crowds the whole way, even for the late runners, like us.  

Earlier this fall, Wanderers impressed at the Marine Corps Marathon in Washington on October 30.  Polly Jansen and Chris Verry recorded personal bests out on the course…Chris finishing in 3:10, good for 357^th place out of more than 20,000 runners; and Polly in 3:19:55 and the 85^th woman.

It has been a six year wait, but a Wanderer has once again triumphed in a Pennsylvania marathon.  Louis Secreto won the arduous Dam Full marathon in central Pennsylvania on Sunday in a time of 3:44:25, which was an excellent time considering the difficulty of the course.
