The Great One

Ten chin-ups by the end of 2007.

Dennis Crowne

I've been slacking lately and have put on a few (or more) pounds. For the first time I've made a New Year's Resolution: I'm "on the wagon" (no drinking alcohol) till I lose 25 or more pounds.

Rosie Carnage:

  1. Do 20 pull-ups. (or die trying)
  2. Lose seven pounds to get my fighting weight down to 185.
  3. Crack the six minute barrier in the Wanderer One-Mile race at the Chestnut Hill Relays in April. (This could be a stretch. Will be happy with 6:15 mile)
  4. Discover the secret of world peace. (This will really be a stretch, but I like to set the bar high!)

Pieman:

My New Year's Resolution is to convince my wife that she doesn't really need to shed that 185 lbs of shaved-legged, cycling-too-much dead weight she's been dragging around for almost 17 years.

Melanie Wright:

  1. Start running in the morning before I go to work at least once a week
  2. Get my husband to start running at least once a week
  3. Run the Bronx Marathon

Pamela MacElree:

The goal that you may publicize and post for all the Wanderers to see is 21 consecutive reps of dumbbell thrusters that equal half of my bodyweight.  (This is a CrossFit Challenge that I believe I will be able to accomplish with some hard work, as I will be using 45-lb dumbbells in each hand and they can't touch the ground at any point until all 21 reps are complete.)

Bin Ruiter:

My intentions for 2007 include participating in at least one sporting event (other than sailing) and figure out what a burpee is (and why anyone needs to do one of these in order to be deemed fit).
