Rob Schiff ended up going four for four in the Wanderers September trail series winning the September 25 race in a time of 18:42.  The Drexel Med Student won each one of the races although the last couple of races were really close, and on the 25th Rob won by a mere 13 seconds.

Wanderers produced  some solid performances in the Phildelphia Distance Run on September on September 20.  Leading the pack was Phil Ranly in 1:26:34.

Rob Schiff bagged yet another Wanderers trail series win on September 18. But this time, he had to work for the win as he beat second-place finisher John Wybar by only eight seconds in 23:01.  Rob won the first two races in the series by much more convincing margins.  The course on September 18 was laid out by Helen Cheung and Matt Palombaro.

The fall trail series wraps up on Thursday, September 25, when Chris Moore lays out the course.

On Sunday, September 7th four Wanderers descended upon Bear, Delaware to compete in the Delaware Diamondman Half-Ironman (1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, 13.1 mile run) and Sprint (.6 mile swim, 17.5 mile bike, 2 mile run) Triathlons.

The Trail Master Bob Reynolds turned School Master on September 11 when he laid out the trail series course in the Wissahickon.   In the past, Bob has routed the races onto trails little more than goat tracks, and has sometimes brought runners within sight of the finish line only to detour them up another hill before completing the race.  This time, Bob took a different approach.

Joel Alberts and Rick Graboyes both came in first at the Chestnut Hill Cross Country Classic on September 13.

There was a good turnout and plenty of excellent times in the first race of the Wanderers fall trail series on September 4.

About 25 runners participated. Rob Schiff from the Drexel Medical School led from start to finish.

PHOTOS ADDED 8/22 - The Wanderers may have sent a smaller contingent to this year's Half-Wit Half, with only one of last year's six award winners returning, but they still managed to pull of an impressive double victory, with Helen Cheung and Chris Verry blowing away the competition and bringing home two of the most prestigious prizes in the Pretzel City universe.
