The Fitness Challenge:

Pamela and

the Great One

Square Off!

It all started a year ago when The Great One pledged to do seven pulls at the Cross Fit Philly gym.  When the big day came for her test last January, all Susan could produce was three pull-ups.  But she vowed that she would perform the seven pulls.

Well, earlier this week Crossfit Philly manager Pamela McAlree called Susan on it and directed her over to the chin-up bar to fulfill her pledge.  Well, the Great One pulled a goose egg, zero pull-ups, nada.

“Whaddabout your half marathon?”  Susan countered referring to the half marathon Pamela had been thinking about, but never run.

The two ladies had words and things deteriorated from there.  The next thing you know a  challenge had been issued and accepted.  Susan has to do five pull-ups by April 5.  If she does, then Pamela has to run in the Broad Street Run.

From this vantage point, I am betting on Pamela The Great One!

It's daylight savings, and the weekly TRACK WORKOUTS are returning to Chestnut Hill Academy's track. The workouts start at 6:30 pm every Tuesday. The switchover to CHA from the Roxborough track begins Tuesday, March 18. The address is 500 West Willow Grove Avenue in Chestnut Hill.
