The Wanderers signed up for the 2010 USATF off-road series. The seven race series begins with the Ugly Mudder trail race on February 28. All the other races in the series are listed below.

The misty rain and upper 30's-low 40's temps seemed more indicative of a March than a January race. Regardless the 'spring-like' weather, the January 24 Chilly Cheeks 7.2-mile Trail Race definitely became one for the books.  

Polly Jansen was named Wanderer Athlete of the Year at the club's annual meeting on January 21. Polly did it all in 2009. She ran, she biked, she tried, organized, supported, encouraged. And to boot, she provided a lot of race reports and photos for our website. She was simply phenomenal.

The Great One's celebrity star continues to rise. Earlier this month, Susan and Gina were featured in a Channel 6 news broadcast about running in cold weather. At the same time, all viewers of promotional material for the Megatransect trail race were greeted by the smiling faces of the Great One and Maureen.

In other words, hill repeats, though a temporary suffer-fest, will make you stronger, faster, meaner, and better. And who'd want to avoid that?!

While many of us were cowering (and shivering) inside during the recent cold spell, many Wanderers were out braving the cold. During one of their long runs, the Great One and Gina were ‘picked up’ by ABC News and pushed for tips on how to cope.
